Sferax Linear Bearing Product Specifications:

The dynamic load of Sferax linear bearings is usually half of a static load, with the preload specifications depending on the application of the machinery they are being used with and the dimension they are intended to fit. In general, it can be anywhere between 0.002 and 0.02mm on the shaft diameter.

The maximum movement speed for the ‘Standard’ Sferax linear ball bearing is 5 m/s, with an acceleration of 100 m/s squared (150 m/s squared for the ‘Special’ Sferax linear ball bearings). It should also be noted that in the event of ball-bearing movement, there must be a reduction of the speed at the end of the stroke.

As the Sferax linear bearings feature a significant reduction in friction, this allows any heavy loads they are managing to be shifted longitudinally with a minimum expenditure of power and energy. This makes the Sferax linear ball bearings some of the most energy and power efficient bearings on the market, hence their popularity around the world.

The bearings do require lubrication, with there being a strong preference for thin-bodied oil during high speed applications. A lithium-based grease is recommended, but again the viscosity will be entirely dependent on how much speed is being applied in the process. If it is a slower paced application, then a thicker lube is fine, but the faster the process goes the thinner the lubricant needs to be to allow the bearings to operate at full functionality.

A well lubrication is important for maintaining the function of the linear guideway. If the lubrication isnot sufficient, the frictional resistance at rolling area will increase and the service life will be shortenedas a result of wear of rolling parts.Two primary lubricants are both grease and oil used for the linear motion system, and the lubricationmethods are categorized into manual and forced oiling. The selection of lubricant and its methodshould be based on the consideration of operating speed and environment requirement.The grease feeding interval will be varied with different operating conditions and environments. Undernormal operating condition, the grease should be replenished every 100km of travel.The standard pre-filled grease is lithium-based grease No.2.Moving the carriage back and forth with minimum stroke length of three carriages after the carriagesbeen greased. To assure the grease is evenly distributed inside of carriage, the mentioned processshould be repeated twice at least.The recommended viscosity of oil is 30~150 cst, and the recommended feeding rate per hour. Theinstallation other than horizontal may caused the oil unable to reach raceway area, so please specifythe installed direction of your linear guideway applied.

AZI Ball Linear Motion Guide:

 

The GGB ball linear motion guide is the first generation of rolling linear guide and the most widely used linear guide product. Due to the 45º contact angle design, equal rated load is applied in four directions, including the vertically upward, downward, horizontally leftward and rightward directions. It is also called a four direction equal load linear motion guide.

There are two types of ball linear motion guide, interchangeable and non interchangeable. The dimensions, load capacities and other parameters of both types are identical, but the interchangeable ball linear motion guide is more user friendly and widely used in general transmission application, as the block and rail can be freely interchanged. When you move the block from the rail, it can be assembled to any other rails. However, the accuracy is lower than the non interchangeable ball linear motion guide.
