• Deep groove ball bearings

Deep groove ball bearings are widely used bearing products. A deep groove is formed on each inner and outer ring of the bearing enabling them to sustain radial and axial loads in either direction as well as the combined loads which result from the combination of these forces.Deep groove ball bearings are suitable for high-speed applications. In addition to the open type, deep groove ball bearings come in a number of varieties, including pre-lubricated bearings, bearings with one or both sides sealed or shielded, bearings with snap rings and high capacity specification, etc. Pressed cages are generally used in deep groove ball bearings. However, machined cages are also used in larger sized bearings designed for high-speed applications.

• Shielded ball bearings

Shielded ball bearings are deep groove ball bearings having the same boundary dimensions as those of open type bearings. Protection against the penetration of foreign material and the prevention of grease leakage are provided by the steel shield of these bearings. There are two types: ZZ (fitted with shields on both sides) and Z (fitted with a shield on one side). Since the shields are a non-contact type, friction torque is very low.

• Sealed ball bearings

Like shielded ball bearings, sealed ball bearings have the same boundary dimensions as those of the open type bearings. Sealed ball bearings also have the function of keeping foreign matter out and grease in with seals. Seals consisting of synthetic rubber molded to a steel plate are incorporated into the outer rings of these ball bearings. There are two major types of sealed bearings: contact type and non-contact type sealed bearings. The LLU type is equipped with two contact seals, one on each side of the bearings while the LLB type uses non-contact type seals instead. Similar construction to LLU type, the LLH type sealed bearings perform better low torque characteristics than that of LLU type because of its special lip design. Basically, bearings with contact seals have excellent and effective functions of dust and waterproofing while bearings with non-contact seals are suitable for applications requiring low torque operation.

• Expansion compensating bearings

Expansion compensating bearings have the same boundary dimensions as standard bearings, except that a high polymer material with a large coefficient of thermal expansion has been inserted along the outer circumference of the outer ring. Due to the extremely small difference of thermal expansion attained between the fitted surfaces of the high polymer and the light alloy bearing housing, a good interference fit can be achieved with stable performance across a wide temperature range. Another advantage is a large reduction in the occurrence of outer ring creeping.

In cases where the bearing is going to be interference fit with the housing, it is very important not to damage the high polymer material. Regulations for radial internal clearance are the same as those for standard deep groove ball bearings. For standard fit and application conditions, a C3 clearance is used with this bearing.

Roller bearing for at over 7.5 TON features special design which enables to enough lasting quality under irregular load of a forklift truck. In the mechanism of the forklift truck, if a cargo object is not placed on the center of gravity, the bearing is easily worn away due to rotational moment. But load bearing is operated being inserted into between fork carriage and mast to raise the load of bearing by changing the existing ball type to roller type and to incease the life of bearing and forklift truck by minimization of roller ball spacing(0.007mm).

Primary application for these bearings is as guide rollers, for the telescopic mast sections in forklifts and related machines.

The bores of mast guide bearings are fitted, as with any standard industrial bearing. Unlike typical industrial bearings however, the outer diameter of a mast guide bearing acts directly against a steel mast rail.

Depending upon the design of the mast and fork carriage assembly, mast guide bearings can be subject to very high radial and thrust loads,
as well as high intermittent shock loads.

STEPPER MOTORS

Stepper motors divide each full rotation into a number of equally sized steps. Also known as step or stepping motors, these 2-phase brushless DC motors offer quick, precise load positioning and exceptional holding torque at any of these incremental steps. Each step represents 1.8°, or 200 steps per revolution. When using a microstepping drive, each 1.8° step can be broken into even smaller increments to achieve nearly servo-like positioning performance—without the need for complex feedback devices or a closed-loop control system.

Product Details:

SEEGER^® retaining systems are manufactured from high-grade spring steels which are selected on the basis of the special characteristics required for the various ring applications. The rings are hardened using the appropriate heat treatment processes (bainitic hardening or isothermal austempering) to enable them to absorb high axial forces when fitted in the groove, ensuring the rings can be assembled without any issues. It is interesting to note that larger rings have a lower hardness, because the stresses placed on them during assembly are not as high as the stresses placed on smaller rings. The hardness of rings is specified in terms of Rockwell or Vickers values depending upon ring size.

Carbon Spring Steel

Seeger-Orbis selects raw material based on its performance characteristics, such as a high modulus of elasticity, high yield point, high elastic elongation and good hardening abilities; which are best achieved by spring steels in accordance with DIN 17222. The material C75S, material No. 1.1248, is a good example. This is a high-purity carbon spring steel with a low phosphorus and sulphur content. This material, along with Mk 58 and spring steel wire in accordance with DIN 17223, are the primary steels used to manufacture Seeger retaining systems.

Special Materials

In addition to the above-mentioned carbon spring steels, corrosion-proof materials are also used. The following materials are also available to manufacture SEEGER^® retaining rings:

Corrosion-Resistant Stainless Steels

1. Designation: X 39 CrMo 17.1, Material Number 1.4122 As a hardenable martensitic chrome steel, this material does not have the resistance of austenitic chrome nickel steels, but it suffices for numerous applications and is used above all in the manufacture of smaller and medium-size rings.

2. Designation: X l2 CrNi 17 7, Material Number 1.4310 This material is an austenitic, corrosion-proof stainless steel which is particularly suitable for work hardening. Both SEEGER^® rings to DIN 471/472 with dimensions of more than 100 mm nominal diameter (concentric form) and snap rings SW/SB can be manufactured from this material.

Note:
All stainless steels are susceptible to specific types of corrosion, which in certain circumstances, may lead to sudden failure of the ring assembly due to brittle fracture. It is absolutely necessary to pay attention to the specific characteristics of these materials when used in conjunction with certain corrosive media. The risk of stress corrosion can be minimized by reducing the tension. Therefore, the depths of the grooves should be designed in such a way that the rings are assembled with a minimum of pretension.

Tin Bronze CuSn8, Material Number: 2.1020.34, DIN 17662 Although it has a high strength, this material has a lower elastic deformation than spring steel. Therefore, rings manufactured from this bronze tend toward plastic deformations in the higher-stress smaller dimensions; although, a tight fit in the groove is almost always guaranteed. In comparison with spring steel, this material's lower modulus of elasticity (115.000 N/mm²) results in a reduction in its load bearing capacity and its detaching speed. However, tin bronze is antimagnetic, and even at low temperatures, shows no tendencies towards embrittlement.

Planetary Roller Screws
Planetary roller screws are a particularly precise and robust form of linear drive. Their construction design produces significantly higher load capacities and rigidity compared to other linear drives, such as ball screws (KGT). This is a direct result of the so-called threaded planets used in the design. The threaded planets serve as rolling elements between the threaded spindle and the threaded nut. Another great advantage of planetary roller screws is the wide range of possible leads they offer. The multi-start thread profile of the planetary roller screws allows total spindle leads of 0.5 mm to 50 mm.

TYPES
GSA AG's product range includes four types of planetary roller screws which differ in their operation modes and properties. The screws are manufactured in standard dimensions, but also according to customer-specific designs. All components are manufactured and assembled in-house at GSA AG / Gewinde Ziegler AG.
• The RGT planetary roller screw consists of the following components: threaded planets, thread rolls, threaded nut, spacer rings and gear rings. The axial load is transmitted by the threaded spindle via the threaded planets into the threaded nut. The system is synchronized through gears on the planets and via two gear rings. The spacer rings, similar to the cage in a needle bearing, ensure the distance between the thread rolls on the circumference of the threaded spindle.• The recirculating RGTR has a mechanical recirculation of the threads planets. This kinematic (recirculation) allows for the realisation of screws with small thread leads, but still with robust and load-bearing thread profiles. This also allows for smaller thread leads on spindles with large nominal diameters. The threaded planets are held in position by a cage on the circumference of the spindle, similar to how needles are held in place in a needle rolling bearing. • The RGTI with inverse design is an inverted version of the RGT. It has basically the same characteristics as the RGT and is also characterised by a high load capacity and positioning accuracy. In contrast to the RGT, in this design the threaded planets on the spindle are held in position and synchronised via the spacers and gears located on them. • The RGTRI is an inverted design of the RGTR. The only difference compared to the RGTR lies in with the thread rolls cage as well as the recess for recirculating the thread rolls being located on the spindle rather than in the threaded nut.

Silicone Sheeting Products

Silex manufactures and stocks a comprehensive range of silicone sheeting from rubber in both solid and sponge grades. With hardnesses from 10°-90° shore A, or in a range of densities, sheeting is available in a variety of grades to suit almost any application. Low to High Temp Silicone Sheeting Silicone sheeting performs at a wide range of temperatures, with standard grades performing at temperatures from -60°C to +230°C, with high and low temperature grades also available. Where food, medical or pharmaceutical applications are required, FDA or metal detectable grades are available. Silex silicone sheetig can be supplied off the roll or converted into strips, seals, gaskets and fabricated products.

When the size range required exceeds the possibilities of extruded products or when wire reinforcement is required for vacuum applications, mandrel-built hoses can be a great alternative. Hoses of up to 300mm diameter can be produced, including platinum cured grades for pharmaceutical applications, peroxide cured coloured hoses for coolant, and various flame retardant and industrial grades for technical applications, including fluorosilicone lined hoses suitable for use with volatile fuels. Along with our large tube range, Silex stocks a selection of braided and reinforced hoses suitable for vacuum or pressure applications and our large coolant hose offering not only includes straight lengths and reducers but a range of elbows and straight connectors.

Silicone Seals, Washers & Gasket Products

The fabrication department at Silex has an extensive range of machinery for cutting gaskets and silicone seals from solid and sponge sheet and washers and sleeves from tubing. Excellent tolerance bands on dimensional aspects are guaranteed. Silex also manufactures joined silicone seals from extruded sections and cords with a variety of special fabrications and assemblies, sometimes incorporating non-silicone items such as valves or connectors. The Silex portfolio includes hot and cold adhesive bonding, mitre corner bonding and our film joining technique. 

Silex’s fabrication department offers a range of services for producing seals, washers and gaskets to tight tolerances.
