Cross-Roller Ring

With the Cross-Roller Ring, cylindrical rollers are arranged with each roller perpendicular to the adjacent roller, in a 90° V groove, separated from each other by a spacer retainer. This design allows just one bearing to receive loads in all directions including radial, axial and moment loads.

Since the Cross-Roller Ring achieves high rigidity despite the minimum possible dimensions of the inner and outer rings, it is optimal for applications such as joints and swiveling units of industrial robots, swiveling tables of machining centers, rotary units of manipulators, precision rotary tables, medical equipment, measuring instruments and IC manufacturing machines.

Types

• Standard Model RU - The integrated design of the unit’s inner and outer rings, with mounting holes on both rings,eliminates the need for a special flange or housing and enables easy installation.

• Model RBU - The integrated inner/outer ring structure improves component rigidity over the RB, which has a split outer ring. This mitigates the impact of the housing’s accuracy and rigidity, providing stable performance.

• Standard Model RB - The basic type of Cross-Roller Ring, in which the outer ring is separable while the inner ring is integrated with main body.

• Standard Model RE - This model has the same main dimensions as model RB, but is used in areas where the outer ring is required have high rotation accuracy.

• Standard USP-Grade Series Model RB - Its rotation accuracy is of ultra precision grade, which excels the world’s highest classes of accuracy defined by standards such as JIS2 class, ISO class2, DIN P2 and AFBMA ABCE9.

• Standard USP-Grade Series Model RE - Its rotation accuracy is of ultra precision grade, which excels the world’s highest classes of accuracy defined by standards such as JIS2 class, ISO class2, DIN P2 and AFBMA ABCE9.

• Model RAU - The extremely small cross-sectional area allows it to be used in lightweight, compact devices. The integrated inner/outer ring structure can be used for both inner and outer ring rotation. There is a 5 mm thin type and an RA interchangeable type.

• Thin Type Model RA - This model is a compact type of model RB with extremely thin outer and inner rings. It is optimal for areas where the swiveling unit needs to be light and small.

• Thin Type Single Split Model RA-C - The main dimensions are the same as that of model RA. Since the outer ring also has high rigidity due to a single-split structure, this model can be used also for outer ring rotation.

• Cross Roller Ring for Robots Model RF - The unique flanged design achieves an even lighter weight. This is the ideal product for robots requiring weight reduction and improved productivity.
