Product Details:

RBC produces an extensive heavy duty needle roller bearing product line from 1-inch outer ring diameter to 12 ¼ inch outer ring diameter. RBC has the capability to manufacture special designs up to a 39 inch outer diameter.

The RBC SJ series of Pitchlign heavy duty needle roller bearings are supplied in standard envelopes in both sealed and unsealed configurations. There are eight possible seal configurations. The seals can include double or single seal with the seal lip turned inward or outward. The seal can be mounted in the radius end of the ring or the chamfered end of the ring for optimum mounting variations.

RBC’s patented TJ Tandem Roller heavy duty needle roller bearings increase the capacity of the standard Pitchlign SJ series from 10% to 40% while maintaining the standard SJ envelope dimensions. The TJ design gives the heavy-duty needle roller bearing 37% to 200% greater life over a standard single pocket bearing. These bearings are also available in sealed and unsealed configurations.

RBC heavy duty needle roller bearings present a wide variety of designs. The TJ Tandem Roller and Pitchlign SJ Series heavy duty needle roller bearings are offered in a double-row design. The TJ and SJ roller bearings can also be matched with an inner ring or run directly on a shaft. RBC inner rings can be used separately or as an inner race for complimentary SJ or TJ roller bearings. The inner rings range are through hardened and precision ground.

The RBC SJ and TJ heavy duty needle roller bearing designs are easy to install and are especially beneficial in compact designs because of their high load capacity and small sectional height. The caged rollers allow for the RBC heavy duty needle roller bearings to be used in high-speed applications.

IKO Shell Type Needle Roller Bearings are light weight bearings with large load ratings. They employ a shell type outer ring made from a thin special steel plate which is accurately drawn, carburized and quenched, thus providing the lowest sectional height among the needle roller bearings. There are two types of bearings available in this series; the caged type and the full complement type. The appropriate type can be selected according to the operating conditions. The caged type has a structure in which the needle rollers are accurately guided by the cage and thrust rings. It is useful for applications at high-speed rotation. The full complement type needle roller bearing, on the other hand, is suitable for heavy-load applications at low-speed rotation. Since these bearings are press-fitted into the housing, no fixtures for axial positioning are needed. IKO Machined Type Needle Roller Bearings are bearings with a low sectional height and large load ratings. The outer ring has high rigidity and can easily be used even for light alloy housings. These bearings are available in metric series and inch series, both of which have the caged type and the full complement type. It is therefore possible to select a suitable bearing for use under various conditions such as heavy loads and high-speed or low-speed rotations. Machined type needle roller bearings are high precision bearings which consist of machined outer ring with a complement of needle rollers retained and guided by a cage. The bearings feature a smaller cross-section, higher load-carrying capacity, greater rigidity. Therefore, they are useful in making machinery smaller and lighter.

ANGULAR CONTACT BALL BEARINGSingle row angular contact ball bearings provide a good bearing arrangement for the combined absorption of radial and axial loads. In contrast to deep groove ball bearings, they can support higher axial forces, but at the cost of lower radial force support. Single row angular contact ball bearings can only support axial forces from one direction due to their design. DOUBLE ROW ANGULAR CONTACT BALL BEARINGSIn contrast to single row angular contact ball bearings, double row angular contact ball bearings can support axial forces from both sides. If two single bearings in O arrangement take up too much space, double row angular contact ball bearings offer a good alternative due to their slimmer dimensions. The support of tilting moments and the rigid bearing arrangement are further features of double row angular contact ball bearings. AXIAL CYLINDRICAL ROLLER BEARINGSAxial cylindrical roller bearings were developed for extreme axial loads. They consist of shaft locating washers, housing locating washers and a cage assembly with cylindrical rollers. Axial cylindrical roller bearings cannot support any radial loads. In single row design, axial cylindrical roller thrust bearings can support axial loads from one direction. In double row designs, the bearings can support axial loads from both directions.

FOUR POINT BEARINGFour-point contact bearings are single row radial angular contact ball bearings with a special internal geometry. The raceways are manufactured so that axial loads can be accommodated from both sides. Four-point contact ball bearings can also support radial loads. Due to their design, four-point contact ball bearings are generally separable and comprise two inner rings and one outer ring.
